My rug hooking is mostly primitive; however, I began following a Canadian Rug Hooker in 2020 who is famous for her hooking style 0 Deanne Fitzpatrick of Nova Scotia, Canada. She introduced me to hooking with more vibrant colors and mixing yarn with fabric. Many of her online courses have instructed me how to hook Impressionistic. This style has fascinated me!

For my needle punch (or punch needle as some call it), my fibers are cotton and wool. Needle punch is, to me, like a form of miniature rug hooking. You can see the loops formed by each individual stitch of the threads. These little loops are very much like the larger loops formed by my rug hook.
