The Art of Kary Zweygardt – FB page

As an artist, I can find inspiration in almost anything: light playing on the backs of rolling hills, songs heard by a meadowlark perched on a rusty wire, a lone leaf on a once covered branch, or a tattered hide from one too many scrapes.

Simple and yet profound when you let them speak.

God surrounds us with blessings every morning, mostly missed because they arrive in small everyday packages.

Over scheduling, distraction, apathy, and being too self-absorbed are the enemies of inspiration. We become too easily unaffected and blind to the “gifts” of life, We need to slow down, breathe, and become noticer’s again. . . .

Kary lives in St. Francis, Kansas with his wife Kimberly. He is the Director of The Hardt Gallery, a founding member of the Cheyenne Center for Creativity, and the owner of Crossroad Studio and The Art Hub. He loves to spend time at the family farm fixing fence and working cattle. Kary specializes in pencil, watercolor and pen and ink, but enjoys exploring other mediums as well.

He graduated with a degree in graphic design from Fort Hays State University, then later returned home to the corner of Kansas he loves and portrays in his art.
